Related to my previous post, here are a couple of news items of note.

• President Bush has spoken to UK PM Tony Blair about his becoming a Mid-East envoy, a White House official says. One of the running jokes in "The Trial of Tony Blair" is that Blair doesn't realize that he is increasingly irrelevant and most of the world hates him.
• Blair feared U.S. would ‘nuke the shit’ out of Afghans
